PROHIBITION

Prohibition played a major roll in the history of whiskey in America. Prohibition laws created a downfall for the whiskey market, but created the illegal whiskey market (Ramsey). The people that created the illegal liquor were known as moonshiners. These moonshiners created fast cars to race each other to their destinations to sell the liquor. If you didn't buy moonshine, the only other way to obtain legalized liquor was to get a doctor's provision of medical alcohol (Caleb).

LAWS

Prohibition laws were created to keep liquor out of the hands of Americans. However, many people found ways to get around the laws such as getting a doctor to say it is for medical use (Ramsey).
